Dr. Coste completed her breast surgical oncology Fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles. She provides personalized care with an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to expertly manage breast cancer, benign breast disease and care to women at high risk for developing breast cancer. Her clinical interests include using hidden scar lumpectomies with surgical oncoplastic techniques to improve cosmetic outcomes in women who are good candidates for breast conversation for breast cancer. She is also skilled in advanced surgical techniques, including nipple-sparing mastectomy, nipple delay, aesthetic flat closure, Goldilocks mastectomy, and targeted axillary dissection. She is a compassionate provider who cares deeply for her patients and their families.

Dr. Coste has a special interest in women with pathogenic genetic mutations, triple negative breast cancer, oncoplastic surgery for breast conservation, breast cancer care affecting Black and Hispanic women, and breast cancer prevention with exercise and stress relief. She is passionate about providing care for all women with breast cancer and improving the quality of the life of patients before, during and after breast cancer treatment.

Dr. Coste is well-versed in the use of various localization technologies, including the use of US-guided, Savi Scout, Mag-Seed localization for benign and breast-conserving breast cancer surgeries, which allow comfort and convenience for the patient and more precision in the operating room.

As a native of Florida, Dr. Costre completed her undergraduate training at the University of Central Florida, where she graduated magna cum laude. She went on to complete her medical training at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona and graduated as a Sigma Sigma Phi member, an osteopathic medical honor society. She completed her general surgery training at New York Medical College Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. During her residency, she was awarded a T-32 Research Grant and completed a research Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Montefiore Albert Einstein College of Medicine. There, she performed basic science research in an in vivo mouse model using a multi-photon microscope to study the expression of MenaInv and SOX-2 in the tumor microenvironment at the secondary site in breast cancer.

Dr. Coste believes that continuing education and research are crucial to the improvement of breast care. She has authored several peer-reviewed articles on the tumormicro-environment in breast cancer and has presented on the topic of metastatic breast cancer at several national meetings for her research in breast cancer. She recently published on occult breast cancer and surgical outcomes in patients with triple negative breast cancer treated with immunotherapy. Her clinical research interests include improving outcomes in underserved populations and those who receive neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Dr. Coste is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the Association of Women Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. Coste also loves going to the beach, practicing vinyasa yoga with her husband, and spending time with their cats.

She is board-eligible in general surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
